The Canadian Association of Rehabilitation Professionals is a national
association representing some 2600 members across Canada. The Members
work as rehabilitation professionals to provide unique services and
supports to persons with disabilities/disadvantages and their families.
They practice in areas such as assessments, affective/adjustive
counselling, vocational and rehabilitation counselling, disability
management, rehabilitation case management, training and job
finding/placement. They facilitate, manage and implement individual
rehabilitation plans to ensure effective vocational outcomes.
The Association developed the first Canadian Code of Ethics for
Rehabilitation Professionals in 2002 which is unique in meeting the
multidisciplinary needs of its Members in applying ethical principles to
rehabilitation practices.
Professional members have a Registered Rehabilitation Professional (
RRP ), and/or Canadian Certified Rehabilitation Counsellor ( CCRC ),
and/or Certified Vocational Evaluator ( CVE ) designation.
The Atlantic Regional Society of the Canadian Association of
Rehabilitation Professionals was formed in 1996 at a founding meeting in
Charlottetown, PEI - the Birthplace of Canada ! All activities are
governed by a voluntary Board of Directors, duly elected at each Annual
General Meeting, who operate within the Society's By-Laws. Professional
and Associate Members of CARP National are automatically members of CARP
Atlantic, if they work and reside in Atlantic Canada.

The Canadian Assessment, Vocational Evaluation and Work Adjustment
Society (formerly the Canadian Association of Vocational Evaluation and
Work Adjustment) is a national society of CARP representing this
